Everything is very well explained and it is obvious all options are considered. He listened carefully and adapted his thinking to fit the circumstances. We were impressed that he always gave us plenty of information about the treatment and the drugs. We are disappointed that he is leaving as we have felt very confident in his care.

I was given brilliant care over the last year by Dr Mohamed he was open and honest with me regarding my condition which is stage 4 small cell lung cancer and it’s treatment. He always made me feel at ease and reassured me at every appointment. I would like to thank him for this and wish him well in the future.

Excellent care despite Covid. An asset to LRI, we will miss him when he moves and wish him well. Puts patient care at the forefront. On top of his speciality. I like the way he thinks on the hoof - others might find it disconcerting.

i have been a patient of Dr MoHamed Mahgoub for some time now a Top Class Consultant and second to no one. He is very approchable and very understanding . Leicester are loseing a great Consultant come on LRI get him stay he will be missed by so many . i missed one of Dr MoHameds phone calls the one day i didnt want any calls my phone never stoped ringing i was happy beyond words when Dr MoHamed rang in the evening after he had finnished work how many Consultants would do that the answer is NONE . A very special human being a great Consultant

We went to see this Dr and he was great. Asked us how much we already knew about my husband’s cancer , then he asked if we had any questions. He then told us about further treatment that might help and explained it all to us both. Asked If we had any questions or did we want to know about anything else. We asked him to be straight talking with us and he was. We know what to expect, we know how the treatment is given and what outcome to expect. Our conclusion is he is a fabulous, straight talking Dr but with a kind and caring way about him.
